IFTTT helps.
IFTTT is really cool. It lets you link more than 70 different online services like Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Google and so forth. Linking allows channeling information back and forth between them.
If an Item is Added to a Zotero Library, and No One is Around to Hear it, Does it Make a Sound?
Zotero FTW. Revolutionizes research process imho. Yet how to keep track of additions to other user and group Zotero libraries over time? If you could keep track, wouldnt it be great to feed those items to an interface that was designed for annotation and sharing?
Solution
Use IFTTT’s Feed Channel to send new Zotero items added by other Zotero users and groups to Evernote. This is super simple. Just go to the Zotero library that you follow, look to the lefthand side, click the subscribe to this library, grab the URL. With that information you can have IFTTT automagically send new items to Evernote (if the focus is on readability…perhaps Pocket).
The Unsustainability of Twitter Favoritism
For a long time my way of bookmarking things I liked on Twitter was via the favorite function. Ive been a user for a couple of years now. Browsing my past favorites through the web interface is terrible.
Solution
Using IFTTT, send favorited Tweets to a Google Drive Spreadsheet.
